My mindfulness meditation practice has helped me in numerous ways. It's helped me while experiencing the recent loss of my mom, it's helped me with slowing down and with getting insight into what i'm really thinking and feeling. I'm a fan of it's Buddhist orgins, but you don't need to be in order to reep mindfulness meditation benefits.
